By creating a VerseID account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use VerseID.
The service
VerseID helps you identify Bible verses from voice or text input. The matching engine searches the King James Version (KJV), World English Bible (WEB), American Standard Version (ASV), and Douay-Rheims (DRA) texts, combining fuzzy text matching with AI-based semantic search to catch paraphrases and misremembered wording. We make no guarantee that every verse will be identified correctly matching, especially across translations with very different phrasing, has inherent limitations.
Account security
If you reset your password, you are automatically signed out of all devices as a security measure you'll need to sign back in with your new password. Password reset uses a one-time 6-digit code sent to your registered email, valid for 10 minutes.
Free plan
The free plan allows up to 6 verse identifications per day (UTC). The limit resets automatically at midnight UTC each day. Saved verses, search history, and collections are available on the free plan with no limit.
Pro plan
Pro removes the daily search limit, adds the American Standard Version (ASV) translation on top of KJV and WEB, and grants access to all current and future premium features. Like the free plan, Pro is limited to one signed-in device at a time - signing in elsewhere signs you out of your other device.
Pricing:
- Naira: ₦1,000/month or ₦9,000/year (saves ₦3,000 vs monthly)
- USD: $1.00/month or $6.67/year (saves $5.33 vs monthly)
Family plan
Family includes everything in Pro, adds the Douay-Rheims (DRA) translation, and removes the single-device limit - Family is intended for up to 5 people and may be signed in on multiple devices at once.
Pricing:
- Naira: ₦2,500/month or ₦22,500/year (saves ₦7,500 vs monthly)
- USD: $1.85/month or $16.67/year (saves $5.53 vs monthly)
Family is a shared subscription, not shared individual accounts - each person still needs their own VerseID account. Anyone signed in on the plan's allowed devices has full Family access; we do not currently support inviting specific named members.
Billing, renewal & cancellation
All payments - Naira or USD - are processed by Bachs. Subscriptions renew automatically in the currency and plan you subscribed with. You may cancel at any time from the Subscription screen - your plan's access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which you revert to the free plan.
Prices are subject to change. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase by email before the change takes effect on your subscription.
Refunds
Refunds are not available for partial billing periods. If you experience a technical failure that prevents you from using Pro features you were charged for, contact us within 7 days and we will review your case.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- Each account is for a single user. Sharing accounts or attempting to circumvent the daily search limit through multiple accounts is not permitted.

We only use analytics cookies if you accept them via the consent banner shown on your first visit — they are off by default and you can change your choice anytime in Settings. See our

Content and Bible text
The KJV, WEB, ASV, and DRA Bible texts used by VerseID are all in the public domain. The VerseID app, its matching engine, UI, and associated code are proprietary. You may not copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of VerseID.
Disclaimers
VerseID is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Verse identifications are best-effort and should not be relied on for theological scholarship without independent verification.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
